The Star Awards is organized by the RJRGLEANER Group as a method of recognizing outstanding achievement in the music industry in Jamaica.

Each year the best of the industry are honored in 23 categories.

Nominations and the winners are chosen through a dedicated website with qualified, registered voters and managed by a panel comprising of some of Jamaica’s leading music figures.

The winners of each category are presented with their awards at an official formal ceremony.

The event began in the year 2002 and had its last staging in 2015. In the year 2023, after major revamping, the event will make a grand return.
